Greetings from Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica!
There’s no question that daily practice is the key to success with qigong, tai chi, and any meditative art.
But many people fail to practice because they don’t understand the art of learning. They think that mistakes are a mistake!
I’m here to tell you that mistakes are a natural and essential part of the learning process.
If you enjoyed this video blog and want to see more like this, then let me know in the comments below!

Thank you Sifu Anthony you have confirmed what I have been saying to my students about practice and mistakes as there are times when I think have I got this right.
It all makes more sense now.
Thank you again.
Anthony
Glad it was helpful!
Sifu,In the early 1960’s I was being trained in sales by an ex-Campbell Soup V.P. who said ” To be successful one always needed to be learning and living on the edge. To live on the edge means making mistakes. If you make the same mistake three times I will fire you.
He developed the best sales team in the industry. I never knew him to fire anyone.

Ah! It makes me want to be in Costa Rica right now! And learning was never a straight path especially in performing arts and I consider taichi and Qigong performing arts. Mistakes make me discover things about myself and sharpen my focus. So I am forever improving on something… Thank you for this video 🙂
Thanks for the video . I also subscribed to your website through email bt didnt get the three ebooks . I already ve ur audio bt it says dont proceed if u havent read the ebook . So can u plz send the ebooks?
Hi Saif. You need to confirm your subscription to get the ebooks. You probably just forgot to click the link in the confirmation email. Check your spam folder if you missed it.

Well said.
Thanks so much, Sifu, for sharing your wisdom … ongoing, relentless!! …and you throw in little bon mots (“sorry, Mom” and “no talking in the library”)!
I practice and practice and every few hours/days get an itch for a Sifu Anthony infusion so I review one of your routine videos (like “closing sequence” or “Shooting Arrows”)…
…mesmerizing!!! Thx.
Nice Introduction:
Sifi Anthony
Greetings from England. Thanks for that Sifu. Sometimes it is lonely on the Qigong Pathway especially when a visiting little one asks “what is Great Grandpa doing in the garden?” “oh” says Great Grandma ” he’s doing his silly exersise thing waving his arms about”.
Best video chat I have listened and watched of yours. Thanks from diana UK
My pleasure, Diana!
Celebrate and enjoy your time in the plateaus. Each failure brings you closer to understanding.
Hi Stan. This post was from July. I’m enjoying the flatlands of Florida now. But thank you!
Sifu Anthony thank you so much for this video blog. I feel like this video came to me in the right moment. I strongly believe in solid foundation in basics pave the way for a much more stinger structure. When I started qigong officially the techniques I started practicing were built upon a foundation I established long before I knew what qigong was. I don’t say I am bragging. I don’t see myself in that light. It just seems that without prior knowledge meditation was a natural skill for me. Like I was meant for it. Before I knew it I was able to do all sorts of stuff with qi. I am able to fill every cell of my body with qi. Direct it to various spots in my body. Heal myself and others. Use it in martial arts. I even have been working on a technique unique. I think. By that’s another story. I wouldn’t even consider myself nowhere near a master. But anyways I got way off topic. You reconfirmed something I needed to hear. Everything is better learned in pieces and slowly. That’s beautiful to me. You are truly a godsend. I hope one day I will have work. Hopefully soon. I would love to sign up and learn from you. You are the kind of teacher I need and someone that can be a friend I never had. Thank you.
Thanks for the kind words, Joseph. Technically, every one of us is a godsend, but thank you for the compliment. It sounds like you’re a natural with qigong. Keep up the good work. I look forward to working with you one day in the future, either online or in person!
Sifu, I am paying the price for “falling off the wagon”, I allowed the stress of Hurricane Irma, buying a new car then buying a summer condo in Tennessee to interrupt my daily exercise routine (which had built to over one hour) I had dropped to missing a day or two and then only 5-10 minutes on most days. My health issues which prior to Irma were over 95% resolved have all returned. Old age can be hell! What is really amazing is how quickly the health issues improve after only two weeks of getting back to over 20 minutes of Qi EVERY DAY.
Thank you for your weekly reminders.
