I read an article recently from a guy who jumped off a bridge to commit suicide and lived. He recalled the second he jumped over the rail thinking, “OMG I want to live!” Interesting how those things work out and how that kind of mirrors your staying around (thankfully, you didn’t jump off a bridge first before figuring it out).

Furthermore, the two will emergent to four phenomena, i.e. Yin in Yang (birth of Yin when Yang is exhausted), Yang in Yin (birth of Yang when Yin is ended), Yin in Yin , Yang in Yang. It is similar to your interpretation about Death in Life, Life in death, Life in life and death in death.

Thank you for your honesty and sharing your understanding. it hit me like a lightning-bolt. Especially in the situation I am in. Had a brush with a good friend’s death and a week later my stepfather overdosed on painkillers (by accident) and survived. I am caring for him for the time being and I am seeing yin and yang everywhere, though less clearly than you explained it. This really helped put a lot in perspective for me.
