Using the bathroom for Qi Gong would not have come into my thoughts and definitely not a public toilet. I love the campervan. Now that is freedom!

Today’s class will convene in the public
bathroom?
Nope!
But, like in 7th. grade science class, I’m sill figuring out the nuances.
[of course we were halfway between two pandemics back then:-/]
Thank You for your super-valuable “dropped chocolate” scenario, Sifu Anthony!!!
Namaste! 🙇‍♂️

In reply to <a href="https://flowingzen.com/qigong-in-a-bathroom/#comment-73790">George Lambert</a>.

Before leaving Florida I rented a house that I really liked! I had visited it and the energy inside seem quite chaotic. I attributed it to the fact that people were getting ready to move. There were bags of discarded junk all over, and everything was in an uproar. Before I moved in, it was professionally cleaned.
I'm convinced that house itself unfortunately had absorbed negative energy. It was very unpleasant to live there for a while. I worked hard for weeks to improve the energy in the house.
I think it's quite possible that in addition to being triggered by the house itself, there is negative energy in your friend's house. I would encourage her to get some professional help to do an energy cleaning.

I agree - bathrooms are places people go to get rid of things their bodies don't want and don't need. With Qigong we open and intentionally take in energy. I sure don't want to imbibe and concentrate that waste!

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. The energy bouncing off hard surfaces?

If you're serious, then it sounds like you are confusing cleansing with nourishing. They are not the same. Bathrooms are where we go to let go of stuff that is now toxic to us. That's a form of cleaning, but not because you're taking in something clean. Rather, you're letting go of something dirty.

The qi in a bathroom is not good. It's not fresh or clean. Can you not feel the difference between a bathroom and, say, a room with bright sunshine and plants?

Can you speak to the ideas that a bathroom is where we cleanse ourselves and let go of what no longer serves us? How does this reconcile with your assertion that bathrooms are gross? I personally love doing the 2-minute drill the bathroom. I think there's something about the energy bouncing off the hard surfaces that is really energizing to me.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I hate to say this, but I think she might need to move. It sounds like the house is triggering and re-triggering her trauma, which makes sense really. Child abuse is hard enough to overcome on its own; if she's constantly triggering herself just from her environment, no wonder she's not healing.

I only use a public bathroom when absolutely necessary. And when I do, it's for as little time as possible.

So to answer your question: Nay.

However, your concept of negative energy brings up another point ...

I have a friend who was abused as a child. Now she’s an adult living in the house she grew up in. Bad memories haunt her.

She is constantly fighting depression and other illnesses. She has tried medications, meditation, TMS Therapy. (I’m working to get her into a qigong class, but she’s resisting.)

Could there be negative energy in a house?
