Thanks for this post. It had several effects: I more than doubled the time I spend in phases three and four while becoming more flexible with phase two. I "just" spend as much time with a given pattern as feels right, not by the clock anymore. Same goes for the different elements of the closing sequence. Sometimes, I will just cup my eyes for a very long time because it releases so much tension. Other times, It'll be quick.

As a result, the practice has become much more enjoyable and I tend to feel a surge of warmth afterwards. Something that did not happen before.
Especially extending Flowing Breeze Swaying Willow allows me to access more subtle spontaneous movements - which I did not give myself enough time for before.
Thank you!

Thank you for posting the relative timing for the 5 Phase Routine. I just started qigong a little over a month ago (haven't missed a day yet!) and unless I'm using one of your recorded meditations, I completely lose track of time when I'm practicing. Sometimes that means I do all 5 phases in, like, 5 minutes and sometimes a half hour. Sure, maybe that's whatever my body needs, but I'm suspicious 5 minutes just isn't long enough. ;)

Anyhow, using your breakdown, I created my own Meditation in the free app, Insight Timer where I have a different bell sound off so I have an idea what I should be doing when. Since I did that two days ago, I've already noticed a difference in the quality of my practice and how I feel afterward...and I look forward to each session simply because I only need to push the start button. I don't need to think about much other than which exercises to do in Phase 2...and usually I just let my body tell me. I only know 6 right now, so there's not a lot of confusion yet!

Hi Tanya. Sorry I missed this. The webinars are typical held on Sundays at 2PM New York Time. But you also get an indexed and searchable replay.

Thank you Sifu Anthony for addressing my question about insomnia. I have been doing the 5 phase routine first thing most mornings (only occasionally missing a session) for over 6 weeks and there does seem to be an improvement in my sleep. Rather than 2-4 nights a week of very little sleep, its more like once a week. I am considering the Qigong 201 program but I would like to know when the webinars are held? I did not see Q&A section on that page.
I loved the book - I've read it twice already!
Thanks again.
