Good day Anthony,

Hope this comment finds you in good spirits and your finding balance on your journey.

The answer is even simpler, though a wee bit more than, "Hell no." :o)

The earliest evidence of chi gong practice comes from the discovery of a 5000-year-old pottery urn of the Ma Jia Yao culture located in China's Chinghai province in 1975.The character chi has been found inscribed on animal bones and bronze items that existed between 1766-1122 B.C. Since Taoism and Confucianism arose around 500 B.C., and Buddhism arrived in China circa A.D. 520, it shows that chi gong has no Western religious or traditional Chinese philosophical origins. However, over the years, hundreds of different chi gong forms have emerged due to various individuals creating diversified ways of practicing chi gong and interpreting their chi gong views to fit their varying philosophical ways of life.

Have a jolly day, and may the chi be with you.

Cheers, Craig

Good evening Sifu. At the end of the walk and talk. You mentioned connection with a teacher. Truth be told you are definitely my teacher. That's brilliant! I didn't think of phrasing it like that. And that's very fitting concerning the Buddhist orientation of the shaolin influence on your system, since (as your well aware) Buddhism is considered the "middle path".
